I had often wondered about this couple too o.o; and yet...there's none of it. I think it shows us that most people like Hetalia for the characters and don't pay much attention to the history. However... o: I did and so, I can certainly see that there is a huge triangle between the three. Though I think I'm more SuFin...either way..D= poor Finland gets paired with countries that treat Finland with no respect. ._.;; Poor Tino...fated to be abused it seems. Anyways sorry, I mean... I'm not knocking Sweden but from what I've heard.. the Finish people don't feel respected by Swedish as a whole; being forced to learn Swedish and they don't have to learn Finnish..etc...

And yeah, It's true that now a days some people hate both sweden and russia... ( I think that older people dislike russia more...) I think Russia is way cooler country than Sweden, but I don't dislike sweden either :'D
And I've understood that at the 19th century, before soviet union and Finlands independence and stuff, Russian nobles really loved finland and it's nature and such, so I think it makes kinda sense to pair Tino and Ivan, even if it's just a little bit
